Sunday

I've a meatloaf in the oven and it's about 27 minutes away from completion.  Some potatoes and carrots in the pan under that about 32 minutes away.  Thought I'd drop by and make some sense, if I can.
To begin with sister seems okay, saw Dr. on Saturday and says it is healing.  She needed a note to go back to work tomorrow.  We'll see how that goes.  Brother in law doing well as well, of course he's drinking.
Okay let us go back to December.  3 man shift and such, oodles of overtime for yours truly.  This is where tis begins.  A package had gone awry.  Nothing to do with me at all so I kept out of it.  Kept out of it before I was told to.  Friend said he remembered a package and had brought it downstairs. It was for a woman upstairs.  I didn't even know what it was.  Search on loading dock was fruitless, down where I was as well.  Not a huge thing.  Woman had to contact the company and they sent a replacement.
I don't remember exactly. but some cleaning had been done.  I think this was when my manager was going away for a week but am unclear.  In any case.   There had been approximately 6 large binders on a desk where we often put first class mail packages with no names.  I came in that morning and a long white box was on the table.  I glanced, no name, and went upstairs to answer the bell for UPS.  Odd.  Same kind of white box, no name, and had words of description on it.  I'll be I thought, signed it in and out and brought it downstairs.  Same company sent it, same damned description.  I contacted the woman.
She was delighted of course.  I did note that there was no name on either.  Turned out to be a "Life proof" case for an IPhone.  Wonder if spell check will flag that?  A very friendly person, have known her for a few years.  She knew of my search for a new phone.  So she said get an IPhone and take the extra case, "It's a $70 value for nothing."  Of course I protested.  She told me the company sent her the replacement for free.  Thus my dilemma.
Now a friend from the lounge was supposed to be hooking me up with a new phone.  Never happened.  Thought he might show up today and he didn't, so I've decided on an 4s phone.  No I haven't actually bought it yet.
Fast forward, me feeling guilty.  Apparently she emailed my manager and thanked me.  He innocently remarked about it to me and I reacted totally defensively.  Stupid me.
Let it sit upon my desk all last week, no one said a word.  I took it home on Friday and declare it mine.  Of course now that I've made up my mind on the 4s, they keep selling out.  And I've only until the 31st until my phone is no longer supported.
Karma is a fickle thing you see.  Generally lets me do good deeds.  When one is done to me, well there can be odd repercussions.  This one you'll just say is coincidence, and my gut says maybe.
Saturday night I realized I needed a new headlight.  Realized it to late.  Karma?  Set out to Sears this morning before shopping, well they opened at 10 I was there at 9:20.  So off to food shopping.  Karma?  By the way I've a pal who named his dog Karma.  Not relevant but you should be used to this.  Anyway.  After shopping took car to Sears, nope they don't have headlights for a 2000 car.  Karma?  Did my usual thing, said I'd stop by a place after the lounge I'd leave early.  Stopped by Pep Boys, packed.
Left lounge early came home.  Set out for my usual auto shop, closed.  Not Karma because it was after 3 on a Sunday and knew it was a long shot.  Went to cell phone shop, waited on line, nope sold out.  Karma?  Went back to Pep Boys, couldn't squeeze me in.  So will call garage in morning and see if they can do it for me if I leave work early.
Ahh, left out Saturday.  Not a bad day.  Paid $75 for my super bowl box.  My numbers are 3 and 4.  Went to cell store, said they'd get a shipment and would call me.  So I went back home.  Carrying old cell  phone, life proof case, I tripped up on the last step of my stoop.  Yes I said up, I'm an expert for tripping up stairs.  Walloped my head into the door and did one hell of a number upon my knee.  You should have seen the swelling.  Nothing broke but I did the next best thing.  Oh and yes there was no one home but the dog to boot.
For an hour I iced 15 min on and off.  The swelling dramatically improved of course my leg was elevated, silly question.  Sore as hell now.  After that I actually decided to lay down and take a Tylenol.  Oh and the cell phone rang.  Store had the phone.  Karma?  They wouldn't have it on Sunday as you've now ascertained.  Later.
okay the spell check only flagged because I said Iphone and not IPhone.
