It's Saturday, just short of 5:30 in the morning. Haven't brewed coffee. If it was just me I would. Since it's not I won't. Let me explain.
During the week my brother in law gets up about 4. I get up somewhere in the range between 4-5, so coffee is made early. On the weekends he sleeps in a bit. My being does not comprehend that and says get up...get up! Yes this is still about coffee. We use a bottom burner coffee maker. That means the longer the coffee sits the older it gets. Used to have one of those carafe coffee pots, think it had a french name, started with a C I think. Anyway point is, if I make the coffee now it'll be 2 hours old by the time he gets up. So I'm being polite dang-nab-it. Of course you're saying just make fresh, or get a K cup machine, no.
The week went. Gave B.I.L.(brother in law it's getting annoying typing it all out) his birthday presents a day early. 2 things from Verizon to do with his phone. Just had a brief intermission and you didn't even know.
It is now 7 in the morning. I actually took a break and lost this blog entry altogether. So the theme won't be the most coherent. Of course I could just start over. It was one of those things where I thought it was saved as a draft but didn't show. So I went of onto other things. I do have coffee now.
Well that Thursday I came home to bad tempers. Just 2 stupid people, and I suffered through them. Sister was making some chicken, he came home and didn't respond properly. Oh the scene. I'd tell you but it would just feel petty.
There's a recipe I've not minded. She found it. Chicken breast, lightly cover with mayo (unless it's tuna or potatoe salad I'm not a huge mayo eater) sprinkle a bit of parm, cover with bread crumbs and depending on thickness I think you bake for about 45 min. That is for the standard thick ones, these were not.
I'd bought some thin sliced ones, which she angrily dumped a spoonful of mayo on each. Then she covered with way to much mozzarella and proceeded to yell about not having an idea of what to make with them. Then there was some other drama, events of pushing a lot of stuff off the kitchen table and storming (kind of) out of the room. Told you it would just feel petty.
Cleaned up, made one of those terrible noodle dishes she's fond of. The 7 min kind from Lipton or knorr, trust me you've seen them. The chicken was done. It was horrible to me. Quarter inch of chicken with 3/4 of an inch of toppings. I chucked mine. Told her I didn't care for it.
Sorry I told you the coherence was utterly lost. My coffee however is delicious. The rest of the week was alright. Manager out until Tuesday. Then off the following week. Just holding down the fort.
I need to fax something today. While I'm out there I'm thinking of going to an outlet where there is still a Van Huesen store. Still haven't bought cigars and just smoked my last one in my stock last night. Need to get a few other things in order today as well. But for now I've coffee and a spell check to do before posting.
